For Accurate Identification of Gold, Platinum, and Silver
This premium testing kit is designed for professional jewellers, goldsmiths, and precious metal buyers. Each acid solution is precisely formulated to provide accurate, reliable results, and is housed in a colour-coded bottle for rapid visual reference during testing.
9ct Gold – Maroon Brown
Formulated for low-karat gold alloys (375 fineness). Delivers a controlled reaction to confirm authenticity and detect base-metal content.14ct Gold – Yellow
Optimised for medium-karat gold (585 fineness). Produces a distinct reaction to verify purity and differentiate from lower or higher karats.18ct Gold – Green
Calibrated for high-karat gold (750 fineness). Ensures accurate identification while reducing the risk of false readings from plated surfaces.22ct Gold – Blue
Specialised for very high-purity gold (916 fineness). Delivers precise results without excessive abrasion to the metal surface.Platinum – White
Engineered to distinguish platinum from white gold and other white metals, ensuring accurate metal classification.Silver – Lime Green
Designed for sterling silver (925 fineness) and higher-purity alloys. Produces a clear, definitive reaction to confirm genuine silver.
For professional use only. Always follow industry-approved testing protocols and safety procedures.

Testing Instructions & Safety
Step-by-Step Testing Procedure
Prepare the Surface – Lightly file or scratch the item on a testing stone to expose the bare metal.
Apply Acid – Place a drop of the appropriate acid on the mark. Wait for one minute.
Observe Reaction – Compare the result to known reactions for the metal type:
Immediate fading = lower purity or plated
No change = purity confirmed
Rinse & Neutralise – Carefully rinse the stone with water and neutralise any remaining acid with baking soda.
Clean Tools – Wipe dry and store acids with lids sealed.
Safety & Handling
For professional use only.
Wear gloves and eye protection.
Avoid skin or eye contact — acids are corrosive.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store upright in a cool, dry place.
